Yes. The North Carolina Highway Patrol Museum & Training Center operates under the North Carolina Troopers Association, a registered501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
2. How will my donation be used?
Your contribution directly supports the mission and charitable efforts of the North Carolina Troopers Association and its affiliated 501(c)(3) organization, NC Troopers Incorporated—our designated benevolent fund. Funds raised through the North Carolina Highway Patrol Museum & Training Center and NC Troopers Incorporated are used to:

Support families of fallen or injured troopers through death benefits and emergency financial assistance.

Provide disaster relief by supplying bottled water, food, hygiene products, and other critical items to both first responders and members of the community affected by hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters.

Assist troopers, retirees, and civilian staff facing serious illnesses or personal hardships.

Operate the newly formed Disaster Assistance Team and Mobile Kitchen, which deploys to provide meals and aid to first responders and disaster-stricken communities across North Carolina.

Preserve and promote the history and legacy of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol through the continued development and maintenance of the museum and training center. Every dollar you give helps ensure that the Troopers Association can continue its dual mission—serving those who serve and preserving the proud heritage of the Highway Patrol for generations to come.
3. Can I make a donation in honor or memory of someone?
Absolutely. You may dedicate your donationin honor or memory of a loved one,friend, or trooper. Simply note this when completing your donation form, and we will ensure proper acknowledgment.
4. Are there corporate sponsorship opportunities?
Yes. The museum offers multiple corporate sponsorship and naming opportunities for companies and organizations wishing to make a lasting impact. Sponsors are recognized through plaques, promotional materials, and other forms of public acknowledgment.
5. How can I become an Original Foundation Sponsor?
Original Foundation Sponsors are among the museum’s earliest supporters and will be permanently recognized on the donor wall at the museum’s main entrance. Recognition levels begin at$1,000and above. Visit the “Foundation Sponsors” section or contact our team for more information.
6. Can I donate historical artifacts or memorabilia?
Yes! We are actively seeking photographs, uniforms, equipment, and other historical items related to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Visit our Donate Artifacts page or complete the online form, and a member of our staff will contact you to review your submission.
7. What payment methods are accepted for donations?
We accept credit and debit cards, checks, and electronic transfers through our secure online donation portal. Details for mailing a check or setting up a corporate contribution are available on the donation form.
8. Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. All donors receive an official tax receipt and acknowledgment letter for their contribution, which can be used for tax filing purposes.
9. Can I set up a recurring donation?
Yes. You can choose to make a monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring donation to provide ongoing support to the museum’s mission.
